Unico swim briefs - the perfect choice for Puerto Rico trip?

Travel lovers might already be familiar with the Caribbean, but one island that some may not have explored is Puerto Rico, which is arguably lesser known than popular choices such as the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.

However, chief marketing officer at Puerto Rico Tourism Company Nicole Rodriguez, has encouraged Britons to keep the destination in mind when thinking about taking a break. She noted that it is becoming increasingly easy to reach from the UK, with British Airways now offering flights via Antigua twice a week.

"There's a Puerto Rico for everyone, so what can you do once you're there? It's more than having an all-inclusive hotel, there's an adventure execution and exploring execution, obviously a beach execution, which is very big for us," Ms Rodriguez said.

The expert added that a growing number of people are becoming aware of Puerto Rico, which might lead to a greater number of guys packing some Unico swim briefs and mens underwear for a trip there in the coming months.

European visitors to the unincorporated US territory have risen by four per cent this year in comparison to 2010, with most choosing to stay there for between eight and ten days.

This could be plenty of time to explore its coastline and much more, with Ms Rodriguez noting: "It's a beautiful place that has a lot more to offer than great drinks and beaches – once you're there you'll get what we're saying."

Alternatively, some gents might prefer a short-haul trip to Spain, with the latest figures from the Spanish Tourist Office indicating that visitor numbers from the UK rose 9.2 per cent between January and the end of September this year.
